Direct Cash Support: Edmonton Airports has made an agreement with the Alberta Capital Finance Authority (ACFA) to finance their own $1 billion airport expansion project. This allows Edmonton Airports to draw funds as necessary rather than taking out one large loan. The project itself will be financed by increasing the Airport Improvement Fee, a fee that all passengers departing from Edmonton International Airport pay within their airline tickets.
