Direct Cash Support: The Transportation Equity Act for the 21st Century, passed under President Clinton in 1998, provides $41 million for the Bypass Project. Arizona and Nevada have both agreed to contribute $20 million. The Public Lands Highway Discretionary (PLHD) has given $31.5 million as well. $4 million was given under the National Corridor Planning and Development (NCPD) Program, $23 million from the USDOT, and $5 million under the 2003 Consolidated Appropriations Resolution. Advanced bond funds of $100 million have been given by Arizona and Nevada. The two states will continue to seek federal funding as the project progresses.
