Direct Cash Support: Funded by King County utility department. Estimate for the cost of Brightwater system is $1.8 billion. Fees collected through growth in the NE region of Seattle is planned to pay these costs -- from rates and hook-up fees paid by new customers to the system. Current ratepayers are expected to see modest rate impacts over the long term.
