40+ km (as of 2009) metropolitan subway/transit service for Bilbao, Spain, with 22 below-ground and 16 above ground stations. System wide design by Norman Foster and Partners. The original two lines form a Y pattern, with top of the Y following both sides of the Nervion river, and the bottom of the Y terminating in the South of Bilbao.
