Description: The project involved the installation of a new high service pump station at the Central Arkansas Water, Jack H. Wilson Water Treatment Plant to serve existing and future demands in the North Little Rock and West Little Rock Intermediate Pressure System as well as to provide master metered water to the cities of Jacksonville and Cabot as part of the Regionalism Driven Northbelt Transmission Main Project. The new high service pump station connected to the existing gravity transmission yard piping at the plant for it’s suction as well as to the Intermediate piping for its discharge. The new high service pump station included the installation of two 500HP pumps rated at 10,000GPM at their design point. It also included the necessary electrical motor control gear. Additionally, the pump station was built to allow the future installation of two additional pumps when needed.
