Checkbox Checked Environmental Clearance: There was extensive public and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WDNR) input during the site selection process, including groundwater modeling studies. Environmental impacts were studied, including recharge of nearby springs and a fen area, and the potential contamination plume from an upgradient closed landfill. The design of the well and wellhouse were also reviewed and permitted by WDNR.
