Design / Construction
Roller-compacted Concrete Dam located on the Indus River, about 40 km downstream of Chilas. The dam will have a maximum height of 270 meters, impound a reservoir of about 7.5 million acre feet, with live storage of 6.4 million acre feet. In addition to control of the Indus River, the project includes two powerhouses, each with 4500 MW capacity at the Toes of the Dam. Each will provide 560 MW of power for the country.
