Substantial Alteration of Existing Facility
11 mile roadway upgrade project that expands Interstate 35E from 4 to 5 lanes in each direction, with the addition of 2 reversible non-toll express lanes in the center, plus substantial reconstruction of the I-35E US 67 interchange and widening US 67 from two to three lanes in each direction between I-35E and Interstate 20, all to the Southwest of downtown Dallas. This is a substantial increase in capacity aimed at relieving congestion, improving safety, and increasing links among major limited access highways.
