Description: Central I-70, between I-25 and Chambers Road, is a heavily used portion of the Interstate network around Denver, providing the connection to Denver International Airport and carrying more than 200,000 vehicles per day. Central 70 is the substantial reconstruction of 10 miles of I-70 between Brighton Boulevard and Chambers Road, adding one Express Lane in each direction (with capacity for a second), removing the existing 55-year old viaduct, lowering the interstate to subgrade, replacing existing street crossings, and adding a 4 acre park over a portion of the revised structure.
