Hochmosel (High Mosel) Bridge

New 1700 meter long, 158 meter high (above the Mosel River) federal highway (B50) bridge connecting the Benelux countries with the Rhine-Main area. The bridge is the central feature of a newly constructed section of B50 that is approximately 25km in length. PORR Germany is part of a consortium Hochmosel crossover that is construction the bridge for state enterprise Mobilitat Trier. The structure is built upon only ten piers, between 105 and 209 meters apart, erected from one side of the crossing toward the other. Piers are up to 150 meter high, and designed to create as few obstructions to views as possible in the area, which is a famous wine growing area.
